I wanted to access an abortion last year and had a lot of trouble knowing where to go or how to even get one. I thought they were still illegal. Thankfully I was able to call a helpline who explained everything to me. I was so stressed about having to have a baby. But I became even more stressed when I found out how expensive it is to get an abortion.

I was so fortunate to get some financial support from my family who supported my choice by I couldn’t imagine what this would be like for someone who didn’t have the financial support. It’s an incredible personal thing to go through and having to consider the incredible hefty financial burden alongside it, or even having it impact someone’s ability to make a decision is huge.
I hope this can be changed in the future and more people know their options and choice. I will never regret my choice and I would hate for someone to regret their choice to have a child when they couldn’t or didn’t want to.
